my favourite movie is 'A lot like love'.
my favourite song from the soundtrack is 'Jet - look what you've done'.
I just love the sense of loving and longing in the film. and this song.

"Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you...
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone"

25 songs: day 10: a song by your favourite band

Savage Garden - Lover After Me.

Well, they may have split up a decade ago, but they always will be my favourite band. Because the music Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones made will last forever. The songwriting partnership they had was incredible. They are both HUGELY talented people and together they created a legacy. I could ramble on forever, but I wont.

This song is my current most played song off their second album, 'affirmation'. My favourite album. My favourite song alternates between this one and a song called 'I Don't Know You Anymore'.

DAY 35: A picture of your favorite artist.

This is my favourite picture I took of my favourite artist: Darren Hayes.

It was a moment in 2006, on the 'Big Night In' tour in Nottingham when he was signing crash and burn. That is my song. It's saved me so many times. It still does. I was the song were I waved at him, and he waved back. The night were I pulled every single muscle in my side reaching out from the second row to touch the back of his hand. It was, the most magical night.

That was the first time I ever interacted with Darren. Over the years the relationship between star and fan, him and I, has been made stronger and easier by chatting to him in his chat room, messaging him on myspace, contact with him on his fanclub forum and meeting him. But back then, he was my idol. Not that he isn't now, I just see him more of a spokesperson of wisdom, a hero, a surviver, rather than an idol. But I still adore him as much as that night in 2006.

That was a very special concert. My second, and it reaffirmed everything I believed and felt since the first time I saw him in 2004. It was the first night I heard him sing Truly Madly Deeply. I dreamed about that song as a little girl. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. And it was the night I was to meet my partner in crime, Kelly. She is one of my closest friends.

Darren Hayes, and his fans that are my friends, mean to absolute world to me.
Thank you everyone.

25 songs: day 9: a song that makes you feel hopeful

It has to be Savage Garden's 'Two Beds and a Coffee Machine'.

Even when my world seems to be caving in, and I don't quite now how i'm gonna survive, when my hope is fading, this song lifts me.

"Another lonely highway in the black of night
But there's hope in the darkness
You know you're going to make it"

DAY 34: A picture of you when you were little.

This is me, aged 6 at the halloween fair. I always was a little poser ;)

day 08: a song that reminds you of your 'first love'

Lighthouse Family - Free.

There was another song off the 'whatever gets you through the day' album. It was called 'you always want what you haven't got'.

Not really my first love as he didn't feel the same, turns out he is gay, but this was a song I used to always listen to as I wrote my diary. and I did truly love him. I still think about him sometimes. I remember listening to this song the night I found out he had gone repeating my love letter to a mutual friend and then told her he wanted to be just friends.

It felt like my world had come crashing down around me. I felt like i'd been stabbed in a back by him repeating my deepest thoughts to someone else, and betrayed he didn't tell me to my face that he wanted to be just friends.

He was the first person I truly loved with everything I had. I've struggled since to trust men and love them as freely as I did him.

I still cry sometimes when I hear the lighthouse family.
